Chobe Safari Lodge is an easy ten-minute drive from Kasane International Airport. The airport is located along the A33 Road, 4 kilometres south of the border with Namibia. Shuttles are available to and from the airport for resident guests.

There are two routes to Kasane from Windhoek. You can either cut north via the Zambezi Region (previously known as the Caprivi Strip) and enter Botswana via Ngoma Bridge. Alternatively, enter Botswana via Buitepos Border, travel past Maun, stopover at Nata Lodge and drive to Kasane via the A3. Both options are roughly 1400km.

This 1200km drive is best tackled over two days. Enter Botswana either via Martin’ss Druft (smaller and quieter) or Grobler’s Brug. It’s roughly a ten-hour drive to Nata Lodge (but always build in some extra time for border crossing formalities) for the perfect stopover. From Nata, it’s an easy four-hour stretch to Kasane and Chobe Safari Lodge.

This 80km drive winds through various villages. Bargain on an hour-long drive, at least. The border formalities can take an hour or longer during peak times. Ensure you have all your papers and vehicle requirements (such as fire extinguishers and reflective stickers) in order.
